Dear Colleagues,

The purpose of SmartEnergy 2016 is to provide opportunity to share the most recent research outcomes in the areas of power generation, transmission and distribution, power electronics, electrical drives, conventional and renewable energy systems, intelligent monitoring and control issues of microgrids, and smart grids within the transmission and distribution system. Submission of energy and smart grid research papers presenting the control and applications in fields like system planning, power generation systems, renewable energy plants and sources, communication and control systems in smart grid and computational methods including management and security is strongly encouraged.

All the submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluations will be done focusing on originality, novelty, technical and/or research depth, relevance to conference, and contributions. The selected papers will be published in special issues of SCI Indexed, SCOPUS and ISI Web of Science Indexed Journals.

It is our great pleasure to invite you to join International Conference on Energy and Smart Grid (SmartEnergy 2016) where special sessions, workshops, and tutorial sessions will be held in addition to the main conference.

Special Sessions: Proposals due 1 May 2016. (http://smartenergyconf.com/?page_id=108) Authors are welcomed to submit proposals offering insight into new or emerging topics of interest to the energy and smart grid research community. The special session organizers may get their first paper registered without any fee, and the second paper at half of the full registration fee.

Main Conference and Regular Papers: Submissions due 15 July 2016. IEEE IAS, IES, and PELS Society supports are requested for paper indexing. All accepted papers in the main tracks, workshops, special sessions and posters will be published in EI indexed society. Extended versions of selected excellent papers will be considered for publication in special issues and selected paper procedures of prestige journals (SCI/EI indexed).
